That's a real good question. Right now, its pretty much a deadheat. The 49ers have a very good offense for a lousy team, better than the Raiders. But the 49ers defense is probably the worst in football.
So the best answer probably depends on who they are playing, since the 49ers defense will struggle more against good offensive teams than the Raiders will.

Neither are very good, but the 49ers will be better sooner than that Raiders....and this is coming from a Raider fan.

Right now I think Oakland might be a little better. But the 49ers are a young team with a lot of talent. Over the next several years San Fran will be better then Oakland.

That's like asking which is more pleasant: drinking bleach or eating thumbtacks. I'll go with the 49ers simply because they don't have Art Shell as a coach.
As for the other one, I'd have to go with the thumbtacks.

49ers. Chargers had a tougher time with them, and that was without playing Martyball. Oakland got shut out even with Martyball.
