License, and graduation from an accredited nursing school. A two year associate's program, a three year diploma school, or a 4 year bachelor's degree program.
You can get some time shaved off the requirements if you were an LPN/LVN, it it called bridging, and you can get credit for the first semester with that experience.

Yes a 2 or 4 year degree. And you must get licensed. The classes aren't easy either.

You need to get either an Associates Degree in Nursing or get a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, then take the boards and get licensed after you graduate from college.

1st step must have college credit, i don't know the exact #
2nd step pre-entrance exam
3rd Schooling best optiona two degree, then go into a 4 year& master or BNS combined special school degree
4th state exam for cerification, and licenses for special studies such as Nurse practioner so you can percribe medicine.
It not easy put the pay is awesome, plus you get to hepl others.
