I recently discovered modern, beaty jazz with a lot of sax, drums and piano. Just music, without lyrics. A lot of famous pieces are played in the radio where I discovered this type of great music. The only problem is that I have no idea about jazz band names nor musicians!? Could you plz help me suggesting some names of CDs or albums to buy? Those frequently played on the radio. (P.S.: not classic jazz! I hate it!)

Call the radio station that you hear it on and ask them. They usually have a song list from the day so that you could go and listen to the tracks online (e.g. walmart.com) and see which you like and if you want to buy the CD. Unfortunately we all have different perceptions of what we are hearing, so "beaty jazz with a lot of sax, drums and piano" doesn't help us much.

Try this album: http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:51uj6j3371t0

I don't know if it fits your definition of modern, but it's one hell of an album without any label.
