I would like to think that the Yanks would go after a big name pitcher or two like Zito Or Jason Schmidt. The Yankee pitchers with the exception of Chen and Rivera SUCK!
But who knows.
I always liiked Nomar and had hoped that the Ynaks would deal for him. That was before Cano came up.

Hopefully the Giants will sign Barry Bonds, Barry Zito, Woody Williams, and maybe Jason Schmidt. I'm not sure if Ray Durham and Moises Alou should stay or not. I wouldn't really mind either way! They should also try to go after Alfonso Soriano but I doubt they will spend that kind of money.
I think the Giants will be pretty good next year with Bochy as manager. I realize that Brian Sabean didn't give Felipe Alou much to work with last year but putting Randy Winn in the lead off spot was just not smart at all. Anyway, I think that Bochy will make a better hitting lineup and pitching rotation and will give the team more motivation. I hope the Giants will fight hard for the NL West next season and think that if the right moves are made in the offseason, they'll be able to claim the NL West as their own. The Giants also need to find a better closer (one who can actually pitch) or else have Mike Stanton fill that spot!
Can't wait for next year to see how the'll will turn out!

The Cubs will sign Jason SCmidt and resign Kerry Wood for a spot in the bullpen
The Mets will sign Barry Zito
The Giants will sign Carlos Lee to take over Barry Bonds spot
Barry Bonds will end up signing with The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim or possibly play left field for the Chicago Cubs
The Yankees will sign Jason Marquis to fill the hole left by Corey Lidles death.
I woudlnt be surprised to see Kerry Wood in the bullpen for the Yankees either.
Aramis Ramirez will resign with the Cubs
The Cubs also trade Juan Pierre and pickup Gary Matthews Jr.

Soriano to the Angels. Marquis to Mariners. Alou to the Padres. Bonds to Oakland. Nomar to the Dodgers. Kerry Wood to Yankees.
No real evidence for any of these.

I think the Yankees are going to focus on signing Soriano, Zito, and Mulder, depending on options. I could be wrong though.

Sorry Georgie, the Dodgers, Angels or Padres get Nomar. He is committed to Southern California where he and Mia live in Redondo Beach.
I hope the Yankees get Bonds. It would add to their aging steroid addict motif. He could platoon at first with Giambi and Sheffield.

Soriano and Belliard both go to the Mets. Jason Schmidt or Barry Zito may very well end up on the Mets too.

I hope that Nixon stays with the Red Sox but he won't sadly and I think that Bonds needs to go work at the junkyard.
