I think he proved to himself that he is not the pitcher he use to be. It didn't help that Houston was a bad choice for him as the Yankees would have been a much better fit. He has already said he wants to retire as a Yankee and wants the Yankees cap when he enters the HOF. He still has issues with Boston no matter what the media says or the fans. If he ever when back to Boston he would be basically kissing their collective asses. I think he will retire. After all what does he have to prove?

1. He is retiring.
2. If he were to continue to play, it would be in Houston, where his son Kobe is a minor league infielder.
3. He lives in Houston and is family-oriented.
4. He is no longer interested in the New York pressure cooker.
5. There were rumors that he might want to finish in Boston, where he started.
6. This is the football board.

Hi, there. I bet Roger Clemens retires from playing this offseason. But wasn't he something to watch? I always dreaded it when the Cards played the Astros, because he was their master on the mound.
As a N.Y Yankee, Clemens 300th victory came in interleague play, against the Cards..... but man, what a commanding pitcher
