That will depend on the contractor you choose AND if he contracts out jobs like the plumbing, electricity, painting etc... My parents are currently building a new home and it's going on 4 months now. We've had lots of rain which slowed things down also. Anyway, they expect to get moved in by next month.

On average it would took approxiately 3 to 4 months depending on what is in the house, how big the house is and what features, materials and other elements that are needed in the construction of the house. Sometimes weather is a factor in the construction of a home.

There are so many variables in the home building process, it is really impossible to say. A good rule of thumb is 3-6 months.
May God bless and keep you.

Depends on how you are going about doing it.....if you have a contractor with a large crew, it doesn't take all that long (maybe a month or two), depending on inspectors. If you have a contractor with a small crew, or if you are doing it yourself, it can take awhile, sometimes up to a number of months.

the only thing you have to do is to have perfect weather for the base after that it is home free and it will take 4 to 5 months

Cheap throw ups (pre-fabs), a couple of weeks . . .
Something more substantial . . keep adding time for things like basements, insulated concrete form in lieu of stick built, metal plumbing instead of plastic, second stories, full electrical with communications wiring, cantilevered ceilings, flagstone, tile & marble work, arch windows . . .
You forgot to tell us, what kind of house were you asking about ?

We were told three months, but honestly we kept getting pushed back because of bad weather. So for us it ended up being almost five months. That was in Tennessee.
