A tin roof such as a mobile home will give poor reception including dropped calls.

Where are you located?

GSM mobile networks run on multiple frequencies. Generally speaking the lower the frequency, the greater the building penetration. My guess with such little knowledge would be that you run on a GSM network that uses either the 1800 or 1900Mhz

If you find out what a competitors network runs on, it may have better building coverage. changing phones will not fix this problem, it is a limitation of the network/technology

Your house may be in a dead spot, meaning the signal generated by your mobile phone company (and which is further amplified by them by putting boosters in different locations) on which your calls will be carried does not cover the area of your house. No matter what phone you use. You may need to switch to a different mobile phone service provider whose signal may be stronger in your area. Suggest you ask friends using a different service provider to come to your house. If their phone works, just switch. Hope this helps!

You could be in a bad spot, move around and see if you get better reception, I'm an amateur radio operator (ham radio),and on my handheld radio I can be in a spot where I can't get into a repeater, but I can move a couple feet into a different spot & get into that repeater just fine. Also noticed that we having trouble getting out in an area that's been mined out, on both cell phone & amateur radio.

If your house has a lot of metal that can also throw off the signal.
