Love, respect, and communication are the big three. I'm pretty sure everything else mentioned here flows out of those.

Love is the base that the foundation of the relationship is based on. Next is sometimes just gonna be hard work. Sometimes all you will have is love and commitment, but both have to be willing to work towards growth and intimacy. Love is both an action and a feeling.

no. love is not all that matters. just because two people love eachother doesnt mean anything as far as a relationship goes. You both have to work at it 24 and 7. That is life.

No....it always starts with love but it really gets difficult to get along if there are a lot of contradictions in the habits, taste, favorites. You can sleep with a person because you love the person but cant spend a life time just with love !

you know.... honestly... I really tink it's enough if both of you are really committed to each other.. as long as one heart holds on the love is never really gone. that's my favorite quote.when i was going through hard times with my boyfriend we talked about our problems and tried to make it to where we both made sacerfices because we love each other that much. When we get mad at each other we talk about whats bothering the other and try to fix things. WE never say good bye to each other with out makeing up first. that's how we are and we are more than ever happier. Our relationship is solid and growing everyday.

NO - if there is stress over $$$ and bills - then the relationship will suffer - no matter how much love there once was....it will soon die.
Love doesn't pay the telephone bill, power bill or rent.....It's pretty hard to stay in love when you're homeless!!

No, love and love alone is not enough to satisfy anyone, it merely gets the fire started, people need something of substance to really keep things going.
Love is like sweetness with no taste or substance, its a good start but after the first sensation you need something to back it up.
