The politicians got us there and poorly planned the war. Our troops need to come home and impeachment hearings need to commence.

First of all, don't be ridiculous. Soldiers are employees of our government. Consider it contract employment, with very serious penalties for breach.
Secondly, politics in our own country are in a heightened state due to the intensity of this election and its consequences. Politicians want to be re-elected on both sides and will use the war in a way to influence potential voters.
Thirdly is the real issue of what to do about Iraq. The answer does, possibly unfortunately, come down to politics. The winner makes the decision that affects us all. That's how American decisions are made, not by popular opinion.

The prime cause is the insurgents and the politicians aren't really helping the situation.
Iraq is a failure of politicians to get Saddam to leave quietly and then form a representative government to replace him.
The problem isn't the troops. It's the politicians and insurgents. It's not Bush. It's Al Qaeda

Troops respond to 'orders'. Orders come from the field commanders and 'Washington' (including the Pentagon and White House).
Mr. Bush has said that the troops will stay until they 'win'.

There is too much money to be made.
We are stuck in Iraq because of greedy plutocrats aligned with the Republican party and the President.

The "Soldiers" follow orders. Think of Soldiers as extensions of yourself and the voting public. We do what you want to do, and we do what you can't do yourself.

Unfortunately, soldiers don't make that decision. Or, really they serve a term, then can be called to duty shortlyafter completing their 3 year term. It is a pretty gross mismanagement of our armed forces.

Strictly there because of the President. When you join the military-you don't have any say where you are going to war or for how long. The government OWNS you....
