Its a scam! Dont touch it! I've been sent an email recently warning about this type of scam. They originate in Africa.
They want your details as identity fraud. They will take the item and the money will never be received.
The account feedback will have been faked.
Besides all of that its against Ebay rules to ask to finish an auction early isn't it?

May not be a scam... but you should beware.

1. Why would you need to give such personal information like address.
2. NEVER end an auction early
3. If your item is bid-less you can change to buy-it-now. But not if it has been bidded on
4. Have heard about scams like this originating from Africa. You send the phone, they say its not received, now what?!
5. Go through paypal. Fees are a ***** but you get seller protection of up to £500 as long as the delivery address is confirmed.

AND MOST OF ALL.... GO WITH YOUR GUT.... IF IT SEEMS DODGY IT PROBABLY IS

Apart from paypal I never accept money through any other money transfer especially not money gram as it is not safe. And furthermore if it is a scam (we don't know for sure, but I reckon it is without a doubt) ebay will not be able to help you because you used a non secured service.

Also one more thing, just because someone has 100% feedback does not mean it is safe. Fraudsters have ways of making themselves look like they are genuine. Have a look at the actual feedback, that can sometimes (but not always) give clues to whether they are fraudsters.

I have been an Ebay seller for nearly 3 years, and my advice would always be, stick to selling to UK bidders if you can, and if a buyer cant pay you by usual methods (Paypal preferably) then i would not sell an item to that person...ever. Unfortunately there are so many fraudsters on Ebay now, you have to be on your guard constantly. Never give your details out to anyone unless theyve actually won a bid, 100% Feedback is not a guarentee that the buyer is legit, only a guideline, as its very easy to get Feedback. I personally would not be selling anything to this person, or anyone like them.

Hi
DO NOT BE FOOLED.
I have had a similar query from a guy in indonesia. They bought my ps2 for £150 about a year ago, i ended the auction early as i received payment, however after confirming that the item had been sent, they got refunded there money, thus i was both out of pocket and no longer had my ps2. NEVER end the auction early, if they are genuine, they will wait until the end of the auction.
good luck
regards
rob

Not sure if it's dodgy on her part, but be really careful about selling stuff before your auction has ended cos it breaches the Ebay rules (your buyer must surely know this...people are not allowed to contact you private...this is to make sure the aution stays fair). You can only get away with that if you have a Buy It Now option...you don't want to get yourself in bother with Ebay.

Tell them to pay via paypal and tell them your details will be released when item it bought through ebay you can cancel the listing and then put it on for a buy it now price tell them you will do that instead. It does seem dodgy
Hope this helps you

It's a possible scam.

Please read this:

Craig's list, one of the largest free posting web sites lists the scam here and explains how the scam works. Do NOT fall for it.

Sounds very dodgy to me. I think I have read about this sort of scam on e-bay. Go to the e-bay community pages, they are very good in there.

Ebay is a business, and ebayers do not consider this to be good business practice. My advice would be to protect your feedback score and decline the offer.
