Assuming that you are running Windows XP;
right click on the icon on your desktop that says "My Computer"
on the menu that appears, left click on the bottom where it
says "Properties"
Click on the top tab where it says "Hardware" and on that page click on "Device Manager"
On the list that comes up expand (by left clicking on the plus sign) next to where it says "Display Adapters" (should be about the 3rd item down)
The manufacturer and model of your video card will appear there.

If you right click your desktop and goto "Properties" then click on the "Settings" tab, you will see your video card information listed.
Alternatively, assuming you are using XP, or the like, goto your start menu and then click on "Run." Or, for a shortcut hit WindowsKey+R.
Then the run prompt is open, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. This will launch the device manager for your computer.
Click on the Display Adapters option which will show all available video display options on your computer.

You would have to look on the box, or on the SPEC sheet. You could also open the Device List (found in the Control Panel) and see what driver is assigned, and that will tell you what that driver is compatible with. That should tell you.
You could also just open up your computer (take off the side panel) and look on the top or bottom. On most newer cards it is listed on the card.

You can go out to the manufacturer's web site and do a search on your pc model. Or if you are running Xp or Win2k you can right mouse click on the my computer icon and go to manage and then to the device manager under display adapter. That should tell you everything you need to know.

If you are running windows, try using the control panel and on the systems applet and device manager. Otherwise a utility called AIDA32 can detect all hardware and it is fairly easy to use and very good.
