Legg has some that come to the knee, which are more comfortable. They are like whereing the top half of a panty house, but they don't roll and are more comfortable. I only wear them under certain pants that aren't flattering in the waist area. If they help you fell more confident, wear them. The new leg brand is very inexpensive, under $10 a pair. Newport-News.com has Shape X products that are very flattering and you won't be embarrised if you get caught with your pants down.

I am not sure, but my wife wears long leg shaper with lace around the leg. I purchased them from a online Website called Lauren Silva. She tried them for the first time and wears them all the time even with Pants. I was able to get her Black,Pink, Beige and White.
She likes the way they make her feel, She also has a Rago Girldle that has bones and Nylons holders she only wears it when she wants to look slim...

My 75 year old mother has a bunch. I would never wear them for that reason. Ugh. Granny ankles.

I'd say, be your own person - who cares what other people are doing. If it makes you feel good (and it's legal) - go ahead!
