talk to the local gas supplier that supplies you with gas. most likely they will come free and check for you. the call to ask is free and then you will know as they have the best equipment to do the job

If you're just concerned (considering the current news, not surprising), get a carbon monoxide detector from a good DIY store.

If you know definately you've got carbon monoxide, look in the phone book for a boiler engineer who will come out straight away. Meanwhile open your windows.
