No, these are real nazi, white-supremist type hate groups. And they are on a dramatic rise under Bush despite an improving economy, which is contrary to historical expectations. (Economy declines and hate group increases generally go hand-in-hand).

Why is America becoming such fertile ground for hate groups? Who is encouraging this?

This is the first I heard of this. Thank you for bringing it to our attention in this forum. I read your link and did some looking into this. It is shocking, but I was glad to read that hate crimes themselves were only slightly up over 2004. I was absolutely shocked at the number of groups in my immediate area.

I don't know if there is an absolute correlation between Bush and this horrible phenomenon. But, there certainly could be because many of our policies relating to denying rights to prisoners that are backed by Bush appear to be discriminatory to muslim men and could encourage people to come out of their closets and be proud muslim haters. And his recent statements on gay marriage also encourages discrimination against gays.

What does hate have to do with bush. Hate is taught at home by people who can't just let things go so we may start new.The hate for muslims is a no brainer right now.We were attacked and the anger has to go somewhere, wether the right place or not.Black and white Hmmmmm. We were at the store one day and my 16 year old son was talking to a friend from school. The friend was black. The boys little brother 4 or 5 years old said in a disgusted way "your friends with that white kid?".Where did that boy learn to hate white. My kids have always called black people brown people. But now they know the word n!gger. It sucks that the world does this.

They aren't. They are just more vocal now. But then that's what you get when Democrats aren't in total control. They let their hatred of Republicans in general become rampant. The fact it's not up 50% says at least some Democrats show some restraint. After all aren't about 50% of the votes cast for Democrats?
