I think as far as the pain of her leaving you either you need to change you ways and try to get her back (if you want her back) and about your kid I would fight for him/her. The kid didnt do anything and deserves to see you no matter what goes on between the parents. And if you and her dont get back together the pain will ease with time...

well first who started the problem and who left who? second if she is the woman of your dreams what changed the dream? If you said something stupid, a simple I'm sorry and really mean it may get you back with her. If you don't mean what you say then don't babble keep your opinion to yourself and only say the things you mean. If you have a child with this person then for the sake of the child an apology can always help and state how you feel its never to late to say your sorry.... as for destroying pictures and things you had together or items you bought her or she bought for you don't do that because if you have a child later the child will want to see pictures of you and her or the items etc. and you will get over her... if thats what you truely want to do if you don't than why do this or that.... get over to her house and tell her you screwed up and want her back... bring some flowers or a pizza...

Let go of irrational emotion, because that's really all it is.
You may have been turned into a needy-cravey individual by the destructive aspects of the "relationship", get a grip on that possibility. It's really dismaying when you consider some people evolve into a sort of "vampire" (topical, I guess) sucking the life out of the other or EACH other. Ask any family counselor.
That;'s the danger of close links. Some mean souls turn the knowledge of the persons weakness into a kind of neutron bomb to harm that person later.
Declare your worth and INDEPENDENCE. Consider the episode as a bout of madness, which intense relationships actually are.
Remember fatal attraction movie.
Go do it.

takes time for the pain to heal and doing or saying something stupid even if you don't mean it won't take that away..only time will...in the meantime do something to keep yourself occupied like work out at the gym, take up marshal arts, etc...(suggestion: do this after work so by the time you get home you'll be too tired to even do or think about anything except for resting / relaxing)
Nothing is better than not seeing your kid... you have every right to that child as much as the other parent (unless you are abusive then i think you have to work on that first) there are court systems that can help you with that..inquire within your county...
good luck!

You ought to go see your doctor and get a referral to a therapist. The therapist can help you sort out your feelings and help you deal with the situation. It will also help you develop a better relationship with your former significant other and your child. You should also consider increasing your physical activity as this also helps your mental state.

You should meet my ex wife, she specialises in dealing with people who suffer from depression. After being with her for a few hours depressed people start to understand the true nature of depression and realise that they were, in fact, happy before.

You have to eliminate all remnants of the relationships. Stay away from places you use to go together. ANYTHING you use to do together, stop completely. Destroy any pictures of her. Go out and mingle and do things and go places you've never been to or done before.

You can't really do anything about it b/c she left you and if she doesn't want you back then try to find someone else.
