About one week after my Mother died, I had a dream that I was in bed, and someone knocked on the front door. So I got up and answered it. It was a woman who looked "exactly" like my Mother.
This woman walked right in my house and said, why are you looking at me like that Julie? I asked her how she knew my name? And she said "she" was the one that named me. I said my Mother just died! She said, well then how did I know your name, and why would I just walk into your house? I said okay, what did you knick-name my daughter a couple of years ago? She said, "cricket." Then she said, I just wanted to tell you that if you're not happy in your marriage, don't stay with your husband like I stayed with your Dad, and be sad and lonely, okay? My mouth was hung open as she walked out the door. Then, I woke up, and someone "really was" knocking on the door! I got up, just like in my dream, opened the door, and there was a woman, wearing just exactly what my Mother was wearing in my dream, walking down the sidewalk from my house! I called out "Mom!"
I ran after her, but when I turned the corner where "she" had gone, no body was there, and there weren't any cars leaving!
I called my older sister, and started to tell her what had just happened, and she all but finished the story "for" me. She said our Mother had come to see her also. Yeah, ghosts? Well, I don't know. I just know I listened to what she had to say, and she was right, I "wasn't" happy in my marriage. I divorced him 6 months later, and I've been very happy since! That was 28 years ago. Thanks Mom.

Ghosts or spooks are controversial phenomena which have several possible definitions:
The spirit or soul of a person who has died, especially one which haunts a place which was of emotional significance to that person when living.
The personality of a person after his or her own death which is not directly tied to the soul or spirit. A sort of psychic memory-imprint.
The character or memory of some being or thing which has died or, if it was never alive, been somehow destroyed or disassembled, which nevertheless remains existent (and sometimes detectable) in a semi-corporeal form.
According to reported sightings, ghosts have taken the shape of humans, animals, and even vehicles. There are reports of ghosts (usually of deceased humans) in most cultures throughout the world. There is a great deal of dispute whether ghosts are figments of the imagination or part of objective existence. Ghosts are among the subjects studied by parapsychologists.

human beings's perception in ghosts is often a fashion of coping with the unthinkable thought of our very own mortality. dying is an much less complicated thought to handle if we predict of that we are able to stay to tell the tale it. That reported, i'm open to the possibility that ghosts exist. It relies upon on how conciousness is created in a residing individual. If there is an immortal soul, than sure for sure that survives after dying. If conciousness is in basic terms a chemical potential of the ideas, then it has to vanish with dying, or a minimum of over a quantity of time following dying. i do no longer locate the two of those innovations passable. I see conciousness as a sort of emenation from the ideas, that exists in yet another measurement to the actual. in spite of the ideas long previous, there is not any rationalization why that emanation shouldn't proceed in some type, the comparable as we are able to verify the lighting fixtures from stars that now no longer exist, or hear the echo of track after an orchestra's stopped playing. What would stay to tell the tale isn't the guy according to se yet particularly fragments of self, a resonance of their ideas, memories and thoughts. In time, that too has to vanish, as at last a dull celeb will fade from all skies, yet who can say how long it is? no remember if something does stay to tell the tale or no longer, i would be unable to verify how ghosts could be a actual, particularly than a psychological, phenomenon. Survival after dying - a possibility. Noises interior the nighttime - in all probability in basic terms the domicile settling or something the two mundane.

i do. and for the religious people, didn't Saul go to the witch of endor and call forth the spirit of Samuel? didn't Jesus cast demons into a herd of swine? if you believe in the bible, you have to believe in ghosts, witches and demons!
Happy Halloween!
