It depends on the type of teen
A preppy teen that is really into sports etc work like American Eagle Abercromie and Fitch and Hollister etc.
A more laid back teen might shop at Pac sun or Aeropostle journeys
A emo/gothy teen would shop at hot topic.
If the teen is older they might like Maurcices
If its a girl and she likes trendy clothing try Wet Seal Charlotte Russe Rue 21 Forever 21 or Body Central

I love to shop at Forever 21 because to me the clothes are chic, H & M because trendy clothing is affordable and the junior section in Macy's because they have many different styles from different brands in the store

The biggest brand anywhere now is American Eagle Outfitters, and Hollister Co. Can find these in most local malls, they aren't too expensive compared to Ambercombie or something.
