I played with a Ouija Board last night with a few friends. I've always thought that playing with one of them would mean to bother the spirits or that they just plain didn't work because it's a board game purchased from a toy store! But yesterday kinda freaked me out... We asked very generic questions with answers that anyone in the group would know, so maybe we were just moving the disc to what we wanted it to say. So I thought up one question that only I would know the answer to. I asked her what the name of my lawyer/my boss was and I closed my eyes (at first) while one of the girls dictated the letters to me. She spelled out my lawyer's name with correct spelling and order. Noone else in the group could have known as I don't talk to any of them about work. When one of us said something was wrong, the ouija baord disc moved straight to "Good bye".

Just wondering if anyone else had had similar experiences that proved the board really did work.

My mama use to tell me never to play with Ouija board, cause one my uncle her brother was messing around with a few friends. The next day some stranger came to the house and told him to stop messing with it cause the spirits were mad and if he does it again he will be hurt. that's all

Either you were controlling the board, or you don't recall mentioning your boss's name and others were controlling it.

There's no spirit world. The boards work by the participants either consciously or unconsciously moving the pointer thingy.

There is no proof that the board really does work; tons of proof that it does not.

If you want to investigate further, you might try some of the skeptics web sites, perhaps beginning with The Amazing Randi (a former magician who has spent the last several decades debunking psychics and similar folk).

I am a skeptic of the "Ouija Board." There is a scientific explination of it as well. It is called the ideomotor effect where people make unconscious movements.

The fact is that the board was created by an American business man and has no roots in spriitual beginnings.

As far as you closing your eyes, your memory probably guided your unconscious moves because there have been studies where subjects are blindfolded and their answers make no sense. Check out an episode of "Penn and Teller Bull Sh*t" where they talk about these boards.

Yes, I asked the board what the birth date was of someone that I did not know the birth date of. It answered correctly. I then realized that the board was not for me. I am a Christian.

I burned it which is what the Christians did with things that were not of God, in Bible times.

I'm not trying to scare you, but you have opened yourself up to evil spirits and you have officially given Satan the invitation to invade your life. I know first hand of what I speak and you need to get rid of that board, get on your knees, pray to God for forgiveness, renounce any dealings with the occult world and ask God to deliver you from what you have brought on yourself. I beg of you to take this seriously! Things are only going to get worse if you don't. God bless you.

I played with the board, but nothing happened. My mom got rid of it. I think it was a good thing that she did. Bad things happened. I had to have a priest come to my house.

Some friendly advice. If it's yours, throw it out. Demon troubles in your home are the last thing a person needs. Playing w/ that stuff is like saying, 'I don't take it seriously, it's just entertainment'. That's like an invitation for them. Please be careful, k?

I won't even TOUCH one of those things ... I've heard far too many creepy stories about them. If I see one .... I go in the opposite direction. *shudders*
