when psychics say, "I see dead people." What do they think?

It's just part of the job. They get right in and do their work. They really are good comotaligist. They also do hair and makeup.
They do not see spirits. The spirit had already left the body at the time of death or shortly before. The body is just a shell at this point. But it is important that they still treat it with respect.

Ask one. The one I knew said the same thing the trash collector, the postal deliverer, the teacher, the proctologist, grocery store clerk, reporter, nurse, and the lawyer said, "I'm good at it. There is not much about it I do not mind. Somebody has to do it and I make a decnt living at it.

Try the book "Stiff: the amazing lives of human cadavers." (Well, the description goes something like that...) It's a good read if you really want an answer. Only about 200-300 pages.
