Cardinals know about the La Russa-Ozzie feud. Ozzie has said he won't have anything to do with the Cardinals 'til La Russa is gone. As a kid growing up, Ozzie was my favorite player....now he is ruining his reputation as one of the classiest people in the Cardinals organization. Ozzie needs to get over it, and it's pathetic that he hasn't. It would have been nice to see him around for this World Series like other Cardinal greats, but he's too stuck on himself. I'm losing respect for him more and more.
FYI, Ozzie got mad at La Russa in '96 when he wasn't the everyday shortstop (although he did play alot)....he still holds a grudge to this day.

sometimes peoples egos get the best of them, I really like Ozzie too...eventhough I am a die hard Twins fan! He'll get over it eventually. Everyone is allowed to be a jackass sometimes!...geez...I know baseball just ended but I miss it already!

its a personal thing and sometimes people just cant let it go, la russa did the same thing with rolen in the playoffs this year (but only for one game) and rolen wont even speak to him unless it has to do with the game at hand, youll never understand unless it happens to you, when you are that great of a player you expect to be treated as such and tony doesnt manage his players off the field as well as he should, i dont think it affects his status as a classy player because it is one and only one personal dispute and i dont think this should affect your view of him, it is something they both have to work out and not just ozzie

It takes 2 to make a feud. If I were apportioning blame for this one, I'd probably put at least as much (if not more) on the manager with a reputation for being a jerk as I would on the shortstop with a reputation as a nice guy.

Ozzie Smith is the only person I like who ever played for the Cardinals, so I'm on his side.
