One of my brothers will actually do a runner if they say he has to have a jab, he's that scared of them. And he's well in to his forties. They don't worry me in the least.

How about you?

I am 46 and had 3 children. I hate needles. I tell the dr that I am illegic to them. Of course the doctor does not buy my story. I can understand what your brothers are doing.

I was afraid of needles when I was just a little kid. But now???
Believe me or not, I had to go through a laser surgery just a few weeks back, then I had to undergo local anaesthesia in my left eye (my retina was detected to have a hole), the anaesthetist pierced the needle in my left eye-lid in such a manner that it touched even the white portion of the eyeball. So now I've shed-off all fears for injections ...

If I have to have blood work done, or an injection of some sort, I usually cry....how sad!
Weird part is, I can get the same needle for body peircing and be totally elated! It's definately all in my head!!

Your bro better hope like crazy he doesen't develop diabetes and wind up having to give himself insulin injections! The po' little boy...boo hoo. See, I have to self-inject three f*cking times a day, and I ain't got NO sympathy for someone who behaves as he does! It's stick myself or die, and when one has diabetes, the dying can be a pretty d*am unpleasant process!

Yeah...I got my flu shot last year at a gorcery store...by a senior citizen.
I'm not freaked by needles, but that whole situation just wasn't orthodox enough for me. And I got the flu anyway.

Not too much. I have blood drawn often.

The key for me is to focus on another object in the room, and have the nurse tell me to inhale when she is about to stick the needle in.
