Does PRS takes a percentage from your royalties when they collect the money from the user?

For live performances the PRS collects 3% nbor (nett box office receipts) so basically after taking the VAT, 3% of the ticket money is collected by PRS. That money is then split between the artists performin on the bill, depending on the number of songs each artist played. As there are sometimes young bands playing that haven't registered for PRS, the money that isn't collected is put in a money mountain, along with any other airplay received by unregistered artists, which is then divided amnong all other members.

Airplay also gains the members royalties with airplay on the bigger stations gaining the artists more money. From memory I think a play on radio 1 gets about £70, whereas it is only £5 or £6 for regional radio stations.
