Not the rampages, the red icons you can find, like the one not far from Big Smoke's house. Not the multiplayer either. And, while i'm at it, where's the tear gas on san andreas? (PS2)

When i say complete, whenever you die within the mission, it always says 'mission failed'. What do you have to do within the mission?

Have you got two controllers attached?
I only have one, so nothing happens when I walk in to the red icon.
Just had a look at my Official Guide, and the red icon is a 2-player Run-Around game. The mission ends when you get killed or arrested. There is no "end", it's just for fun.
If you follow the train tracks down to the docks, you end up in a shed with train wagons in. At the end of the platform beside some boxes is a tear gas canister. This is in Los Santos.

I am not really sure to the answer of your question but I have played San Andreas a lot with my friends. We have done everything on 2 player and there really is not a mission. Have you played Vice City? Well you know those little things that are on the ground that have a picture of a skull on them? There called rampages. I am thinking that they are somewhat similar to the 2 player mission on San Andreas. On 2 player if either one of you die you "fail the mission" same as with the rampage in Vice City. It is not a mission and it is not a rampage only similar. The only reason why you failed the mission is because one of you guys died but it is not a mission.
