Specifically 16+ year olds who aren't even in costume? I do only because I don't want my car keyed later. What do you think about this?

I agree with you completely. I'd rather have one less pack of Skittles than a house covered with toilet paper or something.

What is too old to begin with? I can remember some mother's bringing an extra bag for themselves. I did find it somewhat annoying like you said. But as far as I can remember there was never a set age when kids no longer went trick or treating. I think I quit going around was when I was 13 or 14 as most of us back then felt we were more of an adult then a child, but most kids today even at 20 and 21 act more like 10 years olds with no sense of responcibility or morals.

I do if it is after the "regular" trick or treating hours. By this I mean after the time all the little kids have done their candy begging, I will give the left-overs to older kids, if they have a great excuse for having no costume!
When I was a teen I used to candy beg! If anyone asked me where my cosyume was, I would say "I'm in it, I'm a pedestrian!!"

I do, so I can get the nasty candy out of my house, so I can eat the good stuff. I agree with the car keyed thing, never thought about them playing tricks if they didn't get a treat. I will keep that in mind though.

I don't think there's an age limit for trick or treating. I think it's fun for everyone so I give candy to every one even those not in costume.

Yes I give them candy even if they haven't dressed up and are just bringing the little ones around. After all lets have some fun.

I don't answer the door at all, I know that sounds mean, but I just make it look like I'm out, because the kids around my way are demons, they would try and get into my house if I opened the door, and I don't want my flat trashed and the cats killed, and me beaten up

Sadly, that must be considered! You would think they would at least make an effort. Then again, the way some of them dress, how can you tell if they are in costume or not!! LOL!

No. Dragon closes her door when she sees that all the little munchkins have gone home for the night. Big teenager-type kids can buy their own damn candy. :p
