I'll bet you're female. It's called women's intuition.

The first time I really recall it happening was about 30 years ago. I had just become a teenager. My sister was 9 years older than me. She had been married quite a few years. On Christmas day she announced that she was pregnant and going to have a child. In my mind, I never got excited. My first thought when she told us is that I'll never see my first niece. Sure enough within a month she had a miscarriage. I've always felt guilty for this.
I know I didn't cause it, but somehow I knew. Since that time, many times I've had a sixth sense to everything in my life. I'm kinda at that point right now. I'm biting my fingernails to the quick. I don't know of anything wrong. But, soon I will know why my nerves are shot right now. I really wish i didn't have this so called gift. I hate it.
Things seem to be so normal, but all of a sudden I know something is wrong. I also talk about someone whom I haven't talked to in years or talk about them and they do call or I hear about them. It is really weird, but I do know what you are talking about.

As a Aussie volunteer fire fighter i've got a sixth sense which tells me if a fire call or major emergency is gonna happen way before it does occur
in 2000 a week before my 16th birthday i was playing under 17 cricket and for some reason i had a bad feeling that some where a big fire was brewing & surely enough as my mum and i were on our way home we spotted a large copper bronze smoke convection column spewing out of a pine plantation
My sixth sense was right a really big fire had broken out and now as Australia approaches 2007 i have a really bad feeling that another bad fire like which happened in 1983 is gonna happen next year

Most definitely. Usually I get a "feeling" about people i.e. those that are close to me, relative or friend. Once I had a very distinct "bad feeling" ,could tell that it had a "male sense" to it, and that it was someone close to me but geographically far away. Two days later, my mother-in-law called to tell us that my father-in-law had had a minor aneurysm in his eye. The feeling didn't go away until I had heard that news from her. Once I knew what had caused the feeling, it went away.
I could go on with other instances, but suffice it to say I definitely get them.

Yes, if I ignore the feeling the bad comes to pass, but I have prevented bad things by listening to that warning. One example was by wife and I were riding our motorcycles and I got this awful feeling that if we continued something terrible would happen. I tried to ignore it and I was thinking it may be a premonition of a wreck or something, so we turned back and peace and calm came over me. I knew I had prevented something, but I did not have to rely on my feeling as proof.
We got home and was home only a few minutes when one of our cats stood at the door yowling and we let him in and he started vomiting and went into shock, so we rushed him to the vet and saved his life.
Had we continued our trip we would have come home to a dead cat.
