I don't think they consciously lie, that is just how they see the world. I remember we missed a bus once and my brother prayed to God for help. Ten minutes later one of his friends from the church drove past. he walked up to her and explained teh situation so she offered us a lift. She was going shopping in town anyway. My brother thought the fact they he prayed made God send her to help us. If no one had driven past he would not have thought God did not answer his prayer and thus diminish his faith. The fact someone did made it very special and he remembered it, and now he thinks that God looks out for him.
I don't pray to God like that, maybe I wish for things, yet things like that also happen to me as well from time to time. I see no cause and effect, my brother does. Were his prayers answered? I think not but he thinks so, but I don't call him a liar, but think he just has a different way of looking at events.

Of course they're not lying. I know that there are some that tend to throw the lingo around a little. But for the most part everything they say they truly mean. For example, I prayed that my husband would come home safely from a deployment and he did. Twice. Did all of his friends come home? No. But by the grace of God he did!! God answers prayer. Not always the way we want Him to but He always answers.

In my opinion it matters what they are saying the prayer was for. If they are praying for new shoes or something stupid, then yes, they are lying. Not all Christians are bad. I don't know why people put them all in one big group as bad people. The Christians I know are wonderful people.

Why would some one lie that their prayer has been answered?
I I never lie wen I say My prayer has been answered and Wen I feel its not answered, I continue praying andwait for an answer from God.
And So I would like to think that all other Xtians are like that.
There is no lies wen some one says they have had their prayers answered!

This Christian doesn't. I couldn't begin to tell you the prayers which have been answered in my life. What's more, I have received miraculous healing for an incurable illness. Prayer works! God is present for those who seek Him!

I think lying is a pretty big word. They pray for something. That thing happens, or something similar to it. They interpret their prayer as answered. Who's to say?

Lying is too strong a word. Simpleminded is more appropriate. They are just amazed that they got lucky, and no one else got lucky, so they try to figure out a reason for their luck.

No. Its called manifestation. You transform your own desires into reality. And your fears for that matter. The more power you put in a wish, the more chance it will happen.
