Not as confident as you may think. Eye contact proves confidence. I follow the saying the eyes are the windows to the soul so I like looking into the eyes. One trick a buddy of mine uses is looking at the tip of the other's nose.

Don't just make eye contact spiratically. Look at someone in the eyes and even after they look away keep your eye on them. I always think back to this thing I heard about dogs. When a dog makes I contact with another dog or human, the first one to look away is considered the sub-dominant. So when you look at someone, keep that in mind.

So in short, don't think of it as making eye contact. Just look at them in the eyes and that's all it is. And once you do, keep your eyes there.

Eye contact for me in any respect, is very telling. I can tell alot about a person after eye contact.

Practice...Practice...with a friend or a family member even your dog. This eye contact will build up your confidence when you go to college or apply for a job,,,,,

try to fix your eye first with people you know like family or friends then do it with strangers...
it will be a credit for you cause eye contact is great way to make good impression...
and try to think(why this person is looking at me and i can not ..s/he is not more confident or stronger than me)

look in the mirror and practice, or talk to a close friend and stare deeply into their eyes. it does feel awkward, but it helps because if you continue to not make eye contact with others it makes you appear rude or uninterested.

I was taught at a very young age, the person that wouldn't look at you in the eye was a liar or trying to hide something.

Practice. It helps if you pay attention to a conversation rather than letting your mind/eyes wander.

did u mean to say 'confident'? u don't sound very confident to me. I mean, if you were, you wouldn't have difficulty with this.
