I work for a place that is somewhat family oriented. My boss, the manager is the sister of the girl whom I share a position with, thus the reason she's working here. And the owner of the company, well he has a child with my boss the manager.
Basically the girl I share a position with recently became pregnant, since then its been her excuse to do nothing. She's vomited in the trashcans a countless amount of times, leaving it for me to take care of... she's lazy, never really does anything for the company, is always making personal calls, and leaves all her work for me to do while I'm already being considered the Assistant Manager meanwhile she's still a receptionist. I've talked to the proper authorities a countless amount of times. What should I do?

Man, that is a tough situation.
Not too much you can do about the family situation. If they are good business people then they will realize what is going on and move her someplace where she can't do any damage while recognizing you for your effort. If they don't realize it then I am not sure I would want to work there.
As for now, just keep your head down and work away, quietly. Eventually her shortcomings will be noticed.

Grin and bear it. This is a family company. Complain and you'll be on the outside looking in.

Wow, this will be hard because you have set yourself up as her maid. Leave that puke right there. Do your job and only your job and when the S**t hits the fan, bat your eyelashes and say "I did all my tasks and that was all I had time for today."
