The hobbit was a prelude to the Lord of the rings trilogy. The hobbit storyline has nothing to do with the Lord of the rings trilogy other than the fact that it shows how the ring come to be found and to introduce Bilbo Gandolf and the world of middle earth to you. The trilogy acually takes place many years later. The names of the books in the trilogy are The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. If you have saw the movies I encourage you to read the books. Even with over 9 hours of film much was left out.

The 3 part series by J.R.R. Tolkien. Book 1 the fellowship of the ring book 2 the two towers and book 3 the return of the king. My sister read all 3 after she saw the movies and said that the first one is the most like the book's. (the Hobbit is about Bilbo Baggins and his adventures and the Lord of the Rings trilogy is about his nephew frodo baggins and his adventures.)

It was based on the three book collection The Lord of the Rings. The three books had the same names as the three movies.

The series of films were based on all the books written by J.R.R Tolkein. The film titles are the same as the book titles exept for one called "The Hobbit" which is about Bilbo Baggins, that was only made into a cartoon and a video game. The books are pretty old he started writing them in the 1920's but you can buy brand new copies nowadays.

the first 3 celeb wars are the suitable, the ultimate 3 might want to not also be lined. Lucas would have in basic terms made the ultimate movie as a prequal to the trilogy. Lord of the earrings became good yet somewhat lengthy winded in parts. there have been some quite good strive against scenes in it although.

Actually, I think that Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy was based on the Bible. I read somewhere that Tolkien was very much into the religious aspect of life. I think it was just his twist on things. There are quite a bit of religious undertones in it.
P. S. Have you read that book " Finding God in The Lord of the Rings"?

All three books have the same titles as the 3 movies. I haven't read them, so I don't know how much alike they are. But, I know that "The Hobbit" is a prequal to the trilogy. It tells you about how Biblo finds the ring in the first place, which he later on gives to Frodo. I also know that the books are written by J.R.R. Tolkien.
