Go back and read your lease agreement. There may be a clause in there that will allow you to terminate your lease early under certain circumstances. If any of those circumstances apply to you, you're all set. If not, the only thing you can do is plead your case to your landlord, and he/she has no obligation to let you out of the lease early, so don't hold your breath on that one...

Break out your contract/lease agreement and you will see the legal arrangement for this procedure. Usually, all you need to do is pay a fee.

It has already been suggested to contact your landlord. Good advice. They may be willing to release you early, especially if they don't have any problem finding a new tenant, or if you can provide someone who will sign a lease when you want to move. I doesn't hurt to ask. If you have been a good tenant they will probably be willing to release you early. That is if they aren't my ex. lol

Good luck

I would also tell you to talk to your landlord. My husband and I were looking for a house, our lease wasn't ending until Jan 31st. We asked our landlord if she would let us out of the lease if we found a house before that. She said no problem.

Not much I would say. Just stick with it for that extra month. It cant hurt that much. Unless there is some loop hold in the contract your stuck with it
