I know what you are talking about....When my ex and I were building a house....he took his mother to pick all the carpets, tiles etc for the inside of the house, while I was at work. I had a great arguement with him telling him that I was paying off this house not his mother. He then told me that his mother did not like my choice of colours, so she told him she could do better. She sure did.......I ended up leaving him not only due to his parents but because he was an abusive idiot. Mummys little boy. The fool was 41 years old....it never gets any better when they get older.

Yes, some men do and some don't
it depend on the culture, relationship and up-bringing of that man child to his mother,

in some culture it is taboo for a man to go against his mother wishes, so they rather prefared to stay with there mother, for they have this kind of mentality that the mother that takes care of you from the youth.

i say it also depend on a relationship the man has with her mother before he got marry. For the man has forgotten that he is no more a baby that he mother is taking care of, he is now a man that has to take responsibility for his life and the family he is raising.

thought mother is still a mother anytime, but they should known their limite so also the man should let her (her mother) know the limite she can go in his relationship with his wife.

Depends what was going on. If you are in the wrong and she points it out to you, specially if the safety of her grandchildren are involved then yes why shouldn't he agree. If it comes to the way you cook, clean the house etc then she should mind her own business. But most woman see the mother as a threat , it is your husbands mother and she will always be. Why not rather butter her up instead of getting annoyed. Always works.

My neighbor's husband preferred his mother, (to the point he rather have her drive an unsafe car 7 hrs in a foreign country by herself, just so that he could keep his routine of visiting his mother every weekend)16 years and 3 children later they are going through a divorce for the same reason. If you ask me, she waited too long.
