Hi Blue♫Lotus:
Its 6:00a.m., the alarm goes off but I try to imagine it's just a bird calling its friends and will soon fly away. After I shew that bird away by hitting the snooze on the alarm I drift off to another place far away from land. I'm sailing now and watching the gentle ripples on the water. I can hear the horns from the lighthouse warning sailors of fog.....WAIT A MINUTE! it's that stupid alarm going off and not the mellow tone from the lighthouse.
It's inevitable now; I must get up and get into the shower. My eyes are open but my arms and legs won't move!! Do I have some illness that has made me immobile? Is a force greater than I have ever felt before holding me in bed? NOPE!! I still haven't fully woken up yet, but when I do boy will I run to the shower and then I will feel invigorated! I think I am ready to get up now since Mother Nature has joined in the fight to raise the dead for my bed.
As I finish what Mother Nature made me start, I look into the mirror and see a Man who resembles me but for some reason looks like he has changed. My brain says work, my heart says rest and my eyes keep pointing in the direction of the bed!
I sit on the end of the bed contemplating a vacation or work. Can I go to work and give it my full attention? Should I take a vacation and recharge myself? It's so early to make this hard choice so I give out one last long and loud yawn, shake my head of the remaining cobwebs and then come to a final decision!!!
I'm going back to bed; I forgot to tell you I'm retired now!!!
Thanks

When you become sluggous and can't get focused into your work anymore..... even though it is the job that you absolutely love. You feel tired everymorning......... and look forward to the end of the day; maybe this is past the need for a vacation; and you worry that a vacation will not pull you out of the funk, that you are doomed!

When I say "I need a vacation" more than 5 times in one day

Well, I would say that its time to take a vacation when you find reasons not to perform your daily activities. If you are bringing work home with you, you have to stop and realize that you [most likely] dont live with those people or the situations you encounter. You dont have to vacation somewhere expensive just somewhere fun.

When I lie awake at night thinking about tomorrow's misery. When I start going in on my days off trying to get caught up. When I keep my cell phone on at all times just in case.

When you eat, breathe, and even dream about work. Or when you can't even remember when your last vacation was.
