dude, seriously .... the best thing ever that happened to me when trying to find music like this was when i looked in wikipedia... i found so many killer bands i loved ... this is it...

These are some of my favorites: Sun Caged, Angra, Kamelot, and Scar Symmetry (although the later has more of a black/death metal slant than the others).
