In your own "mind" you believe conservatives "twist" the truth because you really don't want to hear the truth. Why do you think both groups argue so much??

Shouldn't you be asking why politicians twist the truth? You are implying that liberals tell the truth, which as we all know is not true. The fact is both sides tell their version or view of the truth and as is almost always the case, the real truth lies in between.

You're confusing neo-cons with Conservatives. Neo-cons twist the truth (lie) because they are part of an illegitimate movement, totally devoid of principle. A Conservative has no need to lie.

While we may be more oware of Conservative twists, as they are the dominant power, in truth all politicos twist the truth.
The only real difference is that the Cons are now in a position where they can undermine the electoral process itself without leaving so much as a fingerprint.

Eagle, everone twists the truth at times so as to better serve their own agenda and needs, whether they be conservative, liberal, moderate, right-wing christian, militant muslim, anarchist, etc. It is a fundmamental trait of the human animal to try and secure one's own beliefs and wants; and in the game of polticis this need is magnified because that is all politics is: promoting yourself and your party's views and ideas.
So if the left and right wings cannot get together on anything else, we should at least admit that at times we are ALL a bit full of you-know-what!

No-and they don't top the list for treasonous statements -or -aid & comfort to the enemy like those on the left do .
So , I suppose John Kerry wasn't twisting truth when he just gave his hateful , malicious remark that called our troops in Iraq stupid & uneducated ? It's not the democrat party anymore -they are communist and we are realizing that for some time now . I just hope not too late ...
