Look in the phone book or search Google for "fashion modeling" agencies (dont look under just modeling or you will get info about airplanes lol) Agents dont ask for money, if they ask for money, cross them off your list. Agents arent trying to sell you anything. YOU are selling yourself to THEM.

You need decent headshots, a good resume and a good cover letter explaining that you are seeking representation. You will need a LOT of these and will need to mail them to as many agents as you can, about once a month. Keep your name and picture going across their desk often enough that they will remember you, but not so often you come across as a stalker, lol.

Get your headshots made into a postcard size and shoot one off to your list of agents everytime you do something like appear in a play, or a church pageant, etc. Jot a little note stating that you are just letting them know what you are up to and you are looking forward to meeting with them sometime.

Eventually someone will have a project you are perfect for and they will remember you and your face even tho you have never met. Until that time, remember that "No" doesnt mean "Never", just "Not Right Now".

All modeling agencies are free. If they ask you for money, they're a scam. Stay away from them. You shouldn't pay anyone to look at your pictures or to interview you.

Go to the America's Next Top Model web-site or even Tyra Banks site. She probably put info about this on them.

Most modelling companies will need you to get a portfolio (photos of yourself) this costs money. If they are giving you everything for free you are:
1 so amazing they are going to make millions out of you
2 involved with the wrong kind of modelling

Spend a bit of money and join a well known company.

Any modeling agency that asks for money is a scam. The Ford modeling agency is where you should start.

Sweetie, they don't exist. And those that say they are "free and dont ask for money" are either porn or...basically porn agents. And they all get money, that's why they're known as "agents".

The legitimate ones never ask for $$ but also are so overwhelmed with wanna-be's that they rarely consider unsolicited portfolios like Ford and Wilhelmina but google them, you never know until you try.

no such thing, any free modeling place is a scam or a porn front.

any true model agency requires fee's for photos, portfolio, paperwork, license, etc.

nothing in life is free and no clue why so many kids think life is free. if it was free....why would we need jobs?
