Well, my own music collection is pretty organized, it's just one of the things I keep a close eye on. My hubby on the other hand, leaves his CD's wherever he leaves them, and when my CD's find their way into his hands, I'm lucky if I ever see them again! The same can be said for the cases as well. I brought a No Doubt CD to work today(yeah, yeah) only to open the case and find two of his homemade discs piled in there instead.......arrrrrggghhhh!!!

I have a custom built floor to ceiling wood cabinet, that was specifically made for my 2500 count album collection. (yes...the black vinyl kind, and yes I said 2500!) They are sorted alphabetically in each category, which includes Rock, Country, Classical, Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Soundtracks, and The Beatles. I also have about 200 cassettes, in a custom built drawer cabinet. They are alphabetized and the only separate categories here are Holiday music and Gospel. The only CD player I own is on my computer, and the handful of Cds that I own are stacked in no particular order on a shelf on my desk.

It used to be very organized by type of music, my favorites from each type at the front of that section... I say used to be because my brother is now old enough to like the same kinds of music and nothing is where it was since he started taking CDs from me.

Just a few weeks ago it was VERY organized! But now, i don't know, because some wonderfully sweet and thoughtful individual broke into my car and relieved me of the whole thing! I wish I could meet them so I could express my appreciation - with a baseball bat.

Organized?
lol
Please stop humouring me.
Organized is not the word i'm looking for. Cluttered, eclectic, shelf-challenged, anarchist CD's...
Yes, anything except the word 'organized.'

mine is arranged alphabetically by artist's last name and title of the cd (if there's multiple artists on the cd), I also have it arranged by genre. I also keep my favorite cds separate from the rest of my collection.
