I am thinking about purchasing a Nintendo DS wifi connector, and my question is will i be able to play with other users on my ds online? Or is it just compatible with a person having a Nintendo DS that's 30 feet away from you in your house? :-| Thanks ~

Are you referring to the nintendo USB wi fi connector? They do sell a unit that plugs into your USB on your PC which will allow the DS to connect to the internet. Othewise, if you have a wireless router (can be b or g), that will be sufficient. The ability to play against other users via the internet is a big advantage of the handheld unit. Be careful using encryption. The DS will only work with WEP up to 128 bit...nothing more complex. McDonald's is partnered with Nintendo and a third party to offer wi-fi. You should be able to use it there with no problem.

You do NOT need a connector if you have a ds or a ds lite. What you need is a wireless router at home with cable internet, or hit a "hot spot" ....lots and lots of business have them now, it just means they have wireless internet available. Hope this helps.....OHHHH and yes if you connect wifi you play people around the world, last night my son raced a kid from Japan...HOW KEWL!!!!
