My computer broke on Sept 11 and I called Dell for technical support. I made 2 calls. First call I was transfered to technical support but I got disconnected. Second call I was told that my warrenty had expired. I found out 2 weeks later that that day was the last day of my warranty but I was still covered when I called. I called Dell asking for an explanation why I was denied and all I've gotten are nonsense answers. Some are even laughable. I need my computer fixed and I wanted what I was denied that day. How can I fight this?

I can't record calls without permission first. It's illegal in my state. I was considering that but I found out it is illegal.

Try writing to "Smart Computing" Magazine. Here is the website address for their "Contact Us" page. They have a "Help" column that seems to get good results from Dell.

Option 2: Try calling back and keep asking to speak to a supervisor until you finally get a supervisor that can correct the problem.

GOOD LUCK.

Record your calls to Tech Support and post them on the internet like that guy did with AOL when he tried to cancel his service with them. (I have attached a news video of that call) You might embarrass them enough that they'll fix your computer.

If that doesn't work, try Small Claims Court. It's inexpensive, no lawyers involved, and if they don't show than you win!

GET A LAWYER.
TELL THEM YOU WILL TAKE IT TO COURT.
