I really feel I should know this in order to be an informed voter.
For the record I watch no cable news with the exception of fox news fox and friends because its always good to start the day with humor.

Stay the course, before he decided not to stay the course, can we say waffle. What ever they have decided up until now it has been a failure.

Welcome to earth everyone. Exactly why should the military agenda be held a secret from the American people? The US military works for and is lead by nonmilitary commander. It is the duty of the military to do our will. How can we be sure they are if they are not semi transparent?
The questioner is not asking about specific detailed tactical information.
By skewing and interchanging words such as "strategy, goal, tactics, plan, agenda" the President and sec of Defense have snowed the American public for whom they work.
The end result is they want Iraqi people to be able to maintain the fragile democracy that we've forced upon them. The US Military strategy is that of deploying troops to troubled areas. This is a reactionary plan...(not working so well). Any law enforcement agency would tell you terrorism must be fought on a proactive basis.

I know last week he said we were no longer going to stay the course but continue as planned. But yesterday he said we are staying the course again.

At least you are on the right track with Fox news!!You are very smart!! We need to stay there until the job is done you can't cut and because you can't try and bargain with terrorists they are insane people!!! And I can also tell you this ...If Osama BIn Laden or Saddum could vote in the US they would vote for the democratic party...Why would any US citizen in their right minds align themselves with terrorists? Democracy leads to FREEDOM and Peace for all!!. Its the only way to keep America SAFE!!!

What you 'feel' and what you 'need to know' are 2 very different things, thank God. Military plans are never publically exposed for obvious reasons. If you do not understand what those obvious reasons are, then I invite you to email me.
