Would anybody love somebody else if they themselves got nothing out of the arrangement?

Nice thought-provoking question. Yeah, people do love selflessly-it does exist. Though most of the time we demand something back for our love. Love is selfish, in itself, and selfless too. So both. I think? (this is going to bother me all day now)
