In a sense, yes. Even in a crowd of people, you are alone in your head. You are unique and no one will ever be exactly like you. Whatever people may enter or leave your life, inevitably you begin & end alone. Love yourself. You are the only one that will be there your whole life.

In a way, yes. This separation is the root of our longing to be connected with someone, something and why many people look for God. No matter how close we get to another person, we are, always, bound by the flesh and can't ever REALLY join with anyone.

I sometimes wonder if we feel this longing so acutely because we are unconsciously aware of there being something missing - that we either came from or will end up back in some sort of existence where we are part of a collective intelligence.

"EVERYONE is ALONE here on earth?" That is the strangest thing I have heard in a while...

No! Unfortunately... There are others.

I would like for there to be just me, but you people keep coming at the rate of thousands per day. Each generation of you teaching the new one to be just as annoying and stupid as the next. It is quite daunting actually. One can dream though.

All I need is; God... ( although He might get a little bored with just me to mess with) Me, myself and I. and maybe I'll get my kids an Island of their own somewhere nearby for visits... when I am in the mood...? But other than that...

I wish!

The 'Door's of Perception' by Aldous Huxley talks alot about that... the martyrs walk hand and hand into the arena and die alone. Lovers cling to eachother in a desperate attempt to meld themselves, and yet are utterly alone. Except through words and symbols, the experiances cannot be shared and even then, only partially.
But, if we can maintain this distrurbance with joy, the creative spirit is alive, and through the communication of our creativeness, we are, partially, connected.

Not at all. There are over 6 billion of us. No one IS alone, but everyone FEELS alone. Personally, I have a hell of a time getting any time to myself.

I dont know... I find it difficult to be alone on earth... If you consider the fact that everything is composed of the atoms, and we are all connected by this fact... Then no one person can truly be alone... we are all somehow connected. Emotional connections may seem hard to find, but those who truly look will Find what they seek.

Absolutely. Congratulations they are signs that you are turing to an existentialist. It is distressing at first, but as I look at it, it gives you the freedom to define who you are. Set your own standards and values. A life without that freedom is not worth living.

One is only alone when they are without other sentient life around them. We are not alone unless we choose to be alone.

that is merely an illusion under which many labour -- we are in fact, an individuation of the whole and aloneness nor loneliness are merely mechanisms of the mind.
