I do it frequently, and it feels great. I really don't like being bound up in underwear, and the sensation of being totally naked under a single layer of clothing is pretty nice. Also, I admit that I enjoy the looks that I get from others when they do a double take after realizing that I'm not wearing any underwear. It's subtle on my part (I'm a 34C so it's not like I'm flopping around or anything, but my nipples look great under most of my shirts...sheer or not).
Also, it's fun to wear a short skirt without underwear...knowing that people are looking and seeing everything as you're going up the stairs or sitting in class, etc. I've even done it a few times and gone shoe shopping...the reaction of the clerk (invariably a guy) as he's holding your foot and trying to fit a shoe or boot and suddenly gets a look at "the goods" is pretty funny!
Bottom line for me: I like the feel and look of going without underwear, and the harmless fun that it provides is a pleasant diversion, both for myself and, hopefully, for the lucky guys who get a glimpse of something otherwise "forbidden".

No, as i tend to always wear underwear simply because you never know what could happen. Especially sitting on seats where you don't know who has been there and whether or not they practice proper hygiene as Herpes simplex virus type two (HSV-2) that usually affects the genital areas is capable of surviving on surfaces outside the body. Which result in oozing lesions in the genital area. Not something that inspires me to parade around commando just for the joy of being delicious.
While going commando sound kinky and positively wicked I opt for, though minimal, the protective shield of panties as it provides some protection as appose to none. However that being said, the decision to wear or not to wear is entirely yours. Go commando at your own risks.

Its another reason I don't sit on public toilet seats.

I always go commando, I often wear skirts. It is very uncomfortable to wear panties....It feels great to go without

I have never done it, but as far as going comando with a short skirt that is kinda gross, no telling what is on the seats that you will sit on. I have a germ phobia and that would be more than I think I could handle. I would be paranoid about sitting down anywhere

If I'm in a skirt, I usually dont wear panties. In my area, public seating isn't an issue. Small town, so we dont have taxis, subways, or anything like that. And I only use private bathrooms, so the hygene/herpes thing, doesn't occur to me.
Try it. Sans panties is nice and cooling to that area. I like it and it makes for, ahem, easy access. ;)

I never wear panties. No matter what i have on. It just feels normal to me. Ive been doing it too long I guess. You could try it and take a pair of panties with you and if you dont like it you can always put them on.
