I did a home test and it was negative my periods come every 28 days without fail, i have been having nausea for the past 8 days i have had nose bleeds which i have never had. my breasts are sore and i have been having slight cramping. i am also very tired all the time also having hot and cold sweats and lots of headaches. my last period was the 3rd oct 06 and ovulation around 15th - 20th oct my husband and i had sex on the 19th oct. its doing my head in i have never felt this way befor i have read that you can get a neg result for up to 10 days after your period is due. just looking for some advice and wether you guys think i am pregnant! i havent been under any stress or anything to delay my period and as i say they have been like clockwork for about 2 years now

It is possible that although your ovum might be fertilized, meaning you may be pregnant, but your body has not started secreting enough Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) for the test to measure. Your body needs time for the hormone to rise to a high enough level to be detected in a test.

It may have been too early for a test. My test came back positive more then a week after what should have been the start of my period. The ones I took before then, came back negative. You very well may be pregnant. Wait a few days and take another test with your first morning urine. That is the time that they work best. Good luck. Hope you get the answers you want.

It is possible my friend was taking test for 3 months all negative, she went to the doc at 3 months and blood test said she was pregnant. Go to the doc and ask for a blood HcG test. It is rare but it can happen.

I think you can still be pregnant, when I tried those tests they gave me a weird answer every time, and I did it times, I didn't found out I was pregnant until I went to the Doctor.

u can get a negative result u should wait a few more days maybe like 6 to 7 days ok

please relax! you could be making yourself sick and manifesting pregnancy symptoms. I did the same thing during the four years it took to get pregnant. Don't obsess over your period not coming within DAYS of your due date. Wait at least a week to take a test and stop torturing yourself! Good luck.

Worrying over the possibility could be making you nauseous. I suggest going to the doctor and being tested using their methods. It's also possible that there could be something else physical going on that could be of concern. :(

Pregnancy tests give false negatives, especially if you take them too early. If you wait and take another one and if it is positive, then you are pregnant. Pregnancy tests don't give false positives.
