Depends on how ugly she is.

well, it depends on how ugly your girlfriend is. although this is the holiday period dedicated to witches and monsters, so it poses a difficult question. if your girlfriend looks like a witch or a monster, the children may indeed be thrilled and call to your door in joyful glee in the presumption that this house is in support of Halloween callers and will have the expected treats for them. however, if you have a gorgeous girlfriend, passers by (particularly male ones) may see this vision of beauty and call to see if they can entice her away from her present boyfriend (you). so, in answer to your question... no, its not child abuse, but it could be girlfriend abuse.

No. A photo of your girlfriend would not deter the trick-or-treaters from coming to your door, nor would it be construed as child abuse. I rather think it is girlfriend abuse, and I feel sorry for her. I hope she realizes what a dud she picked for a boyfriend. Happy Halloween!

Why don't you just turn your porch light off and keep the house dark as if you aren't there. No one says you MUST participate on Halloween. There is no need to put your girlfriend on the door...just make it look like you aren't home.

Depends on just how ugly she is. It could go under Infringement of their human rights if she is really terrible as they will not get the benefit of trick or treat.

If she is that bad, and she is dating you...then posting her picture would be preferable to children seeing you when you opened the door.
