Carnivore is the word that describes the diet of animals the eat meat, in essence Carnivore means "meat eater." In reverse Herbivore means Plant eater and Omnivore means one who eats all things. Humans are Omnivores, Pandas are herbivores, and Crocodiles are carnivores.

Carnivore(from latin,meaning "flesh" and "to devour") refers to any animal whose diet consists mainly of meat,but this does not mean that they dont eat plant(they do,but very little).Some carnivores eat plants for some vitamins,minerals and fibres, and some are even known to eat herbivore dung(note that they are not omnivores,omnivores are animals whose diet consists of mainly both plant and animal matters).It can be a predator or even a scavenger.
