Freedoms just another word for nothing left to lose?

Clearly the righties totally buy into this classic line. That’s why they trash the constitution and bill of rights. Only when, we as Americans, have no freedoms left to lose, will the repukelicans claim victory. For then they will truly have the freedom to pursue their fascist agenda of global domination. All those who oppose this, I strongly encourage you to vote before that freedom, too, is taken away. Attempts have been made and are being made today to insure the general public finds it more and more difficult to vote. This may be our last chance. Let's send these anti-american republicunts packing.

Really no way to respond, because you are likely too opinionated to ever be influenced. I'm not a Republican, but I don't see your argument either. Republicans look to uphold the Constitution as much as the Dems, they just see things differently. They strongly push for the right to bear arms, the support the separation of powers, they desire to keep as much as possible on the state level (as opposed to big government), and they desire to have equal protection for all under the laws. Every law we have infringes on Freedom in one way or another, yet it is necessary to protect the people. Would you rather have a country without laws? It's a silly rant you make, but I do support the fact that everyone should get out and vote for the best man, who will look to push the agenda they find meaningful. I'm sick of party line diatribe. Look at the issues and just vote.

What a bunch of horse manure! No one's constitutional rights and freedoms have been violated. You yourself have the right to spout this idiocy in public without being censored by the gov't or some masked gov't thugs paying you a visit.

Are we giving enemy combatants on the battlefield full US Constitutional rights? Hell no! They aren't US citizens or even residents of our country and are not entitled to them. They aren't even entitled to rights under the Geneva convention because they do not fight by Geneva convention rules.

Are US citizens being spied upon? Only when they are having contact with international terrorists. That's a national security and war issue, not a law enforcement issue. Warrants are not required. Are our financial transactions being spied upon? News flash, they have been for decades by administrations of both parties, both in fighting drugs, organized crime, and now terrorism.

The only right being jeopardized is my right to live in safety and free from terrorist attacks. That right is being jeopardized by the Democrats who are actively trying to bestow full civil rights on terrorists and who unceasingly criticize our gov't and provide propaganda ammo for the terrorists themselves. If you read some recent statements from Osama bin Laden without knowing they came from him, you might think they came from Harry Reid, Murtha, Pelosi or Kerry.
