Okay. Let me just say that I am not a typical groupie when it comes to musicians. But I attended the Staind and Hinder concert with the sole purpose of seeing Staind although I liked Hinder's "Lips of an Angel." Since the concert, I have developed such an obsession with my Hinder EXTREME BEHAVIOR cd that I can not take it out of the CD player. I even watch the videos of Austin Winkler on my computer and have the Hinder CD cover hanging from my rear view mirror. I just spent 100 bucks on the two concert tickets in Baton Rouge, and now I want to buy more for the concert in Lafayette and drive all the way there. Is this pathetic or what?
Please no answers droning on about how good "Lips of an Angel" is because to tell you the truth, their best song is "Better than Me" or maybe "Get Stoned".

Someone talked about seeing Black Stone Cherry, Staind, 3 Days Grace, and Hinder... that's the same concert I went to, and I agree Hinder was the best live. Staind was a bit LOUD!!!

You are definitely not too old. I'm 40 and actually belong to a couple of fan clubs. I know women and some men that are in their 50's who are joining their first fan clubs ever. And having the time of their lives. Enjoy your guilty pleasure for all it's worth!!
I, personally, enjoy the fantasies.. and yep.. they are about Austin at the moment. But I have what I like to call the "flavor of the month". Last month it was someone else. Two weeks from now..it'll be another hottie. And before anyone thinks that I'm crazy.. I have a professional job and a very active social life. But, I think anyone who is reading this will be able to relate to the fact that these days... alittle fantasy can be a mental health helper.
And my 2 cents.. Get Stoned.. How Long.. and Room 21 :)

I agree...Get Stoned is by far the best song.
You are never too old to have interests, however extreme. I just attended the Staind, Hinder, Three Days Grace, and Blackstone Cherry concert. It was wonderful. Even though I am a Three Days Grace extreme fan, Hinder was the best live.
I believe that you are as old as you feel and act. LIVE IT UP! We only get one go around on this earth and you never know what tomorrow holds!

It happens a lot with middle aged moms - they don't get what they need in the 'love' department at home so they crave what seems to meet their needs in the entertainment arena.
Have you given your bf / husband the option of 'stepping up to the plate' ? If he is not able, then the groupie thing is OK, so long as you are not shortchanging the children you have brought onto this planet in the time & finances department.
Note: No droning about Hinder here because Gerard Butler is wayyyyyyyyy better.

You didn't say how old you were! Are you still going to work and taking care of family obligations? Are you taking a bath and doing your laundry? Are you paying your bills? Are you throwing in some Snow Patrol once in awhile? Are you hurting anyone else?
If you can answer yes to all but the last one which should be a resounding NO then I say
GO FOR IT!
I am 59 and I had my 33 year old daughter burn the CD for me. I love it, too. I am saving for tickets to a U2 concert, though.

Whatever floats your boat. Just FYI - when Hinder came to Indiana before they were big. They were part of a concert sponsored by the guy that does all those "Girls gone wild" videos. While they played, they stage was filled with naked girls (from the audience) all having sex. Yeah, don't be one of those girls. How trashy is that? After that, Hinder just seems dirty to me and I can't like them.

you're not a groupie, you are a fanatic. As long as your "obsession" is not taking you away from your family or getting you off task at work, a little obsession can be a fun thing.
