i have a 2.1 carat weight paraiba tourmaline ring 3.33 grams 18 carat gold the gem is 10-8 mm oval and is a turquoise mint green in colour.

most jewlers have not even seen one of thease gems as they are so rare i have tried asking the local jewlers about it but they have no clue they just admire it.

It'll give you an idea or the value. You can then have the setting valued seperately.

There's a 2.08 carat gem on the above site valued at $1100 but it'll depend on the quaility of the individual gem. I guess yours may be about the same (plus the gold of course).

You can look on this site here to get a general idea of their prices for this gemstone, unset, however you should do a websearch for paraiba tourmaline to get a better idea and perhaps find a jewler who deals in them...don't sell it to the same jewler who appraises it though.

Jeweller will charge you about £ 20-£25 I think for valuation. But you can ask them first I supposed.
