Yes, I have to do housework, cleaning up after my family everyday. Sometimes I just dont want to.

Well, some things I do which I don't enjoy, but I don't out of choice, no. Unless it's something which will help someone out, why do it? Ok, it may be charctaer building, but eating a tomato purely because you absolutely hate them and therefore feel you should torture yourself by doing so isn't necessarily going to help anyone.
I agree that it depends - some things which you don't want to do should be done, for one reason or another, but pointlessly doing something to torture yourself just seems silly.

We all put up with a number of things that we'd rather not. A rude co-workers, someone with personal hygiene issues, a number of things. It's partially conformity, it's partially laziness, it's partially most peoples desire to avoid confrontation. If you use it as part of your personal discipline, then you're miles ahead.

I hate getting up at 5am to go to work.
Do I want to do it? No. But I gotta make it a point to get to work and continue my career, dont I?
