well, i dont know about the present 8th wonder, but i can tell you that soon(in 2 to 3 years) the palm islands of Dubai, along with world map shapped island, are going to bag the 8th wonder of the world title.

The 8th wonder is more of an expression than it is a real actual thing or place.

You would have to define which "7 wonders" you are talking about before you could determine which 8th wonder you want to consider.

The original list of 7 wonders are the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World." All of which have been destroyed with the exception of the Great Pyramid (not plural) at Giza. This ONLY includes the largest one... Khufu's pyramid.

Again, it is more of a saying than an actual thing or place.
Some considered 8th wonders: Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China, Andre the Giant

These don't fit in with the original list though because they were created nearly a thousand years after the original wonders. Anyone in any country could create their own list based on what they thing, however, the original list is what people are (sometimes inadvertently) referencing whenever they bring this topic up.

Each city, country, person has a unique thing in their own. So in one country 1 thing would be eighth wonder whilst for another country it wouldn't. For an ex: lata mangeshkar, aishwarya rai and amitabh bachchan are considered to be wonders for our country and we are proud for them, in the same way some other country would have their own wonders........
